Welcome from our Chair
“As the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health,I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to our institution. I have had the great pleasure of leading the department since 1998 and I am very proud of our accomplishments. We have a very successful residency training program, with outstanding faculty and a superior track record of graduating residents who are finding it very easy to acquire multiple satisfying employment opportunities. Many of our graduates have gone on to do fellowships in Hospice and Palliative Care, Integrative Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Geriatrics. Having the ability to become a board-certified family doctor is a great accomplishment and provides you with lifelong human interactions and the opportunity to become a part of your patients' lives and families. In so doing, your own personal and family life will be immeasurably enhanced. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your future at our institution.”
